Affiliate Marketing Archives

When working in Affiliate Marketing you need to get these two pillars done correctly!

1) The first Pillar is your Market. You need to know who your market is and what they are looking for. After you know who the market is you need to find your niche keywords (very Important).
Once that is established you need to send traffic to your Market, which can be done in a number of ways either by free traffic or paid traffic. I suggest if your are just starting out to use free traffic until you get the hang of it and then experiment with help from someone knowledgeable with paid traffic. You can use Utube videos, keywords, SEO (search Engine optimization), PPC (Pay Per Click), Yahoo, Article Marketing, etc.

2) The second Pillar is your Offer. The offer can be some ones product, your own product (can make more money from your own), but that requires much more time and effort so I suggest you stick with someone else’s product for now.
The offers could be Google Adsense, CPA (cost per action)-which could be a sale, a lead, a download or even just some information that you will get paid for if someone clicks on the link and completes the action required, or you can just send then to someone else’s product and if they buy it, you will get 50% commission or more usually. Some of the places to send people to are Clickbank, Paypal, Dotcom.com and there are numerous other places that will give you a commission for the product that people buy who you sent to their site.
When you sign up with these affiliate sites you will be given an Id which you will need to put in the link so when the person goes and buys from that marketplace you will be credited for that sale and be given your commission.

Now you must remember that your market is looking for a particular item or information, so you must target those people to send them to your sight and then to the proper offer. If they are looking for information on lawn care , don’t give them an offer for bird seed or whatever, they simply will not buy.

Good luck and prosperity!

Online Networking Secrets welcomes you back, and I just wanted to share a video with all of you, about Affiliate Marketing ETC… check it out below!

I just finished watching Frank Kern’s latest email video called “Sneak Attack“, anyway the first half is just some silly introduction basically, which is somewhat entertaining but skip past the first half and then he gets into some serious content! Which by the way he calls the “Triangle of Trust” Technique.

Instead of me telling you all about it you can just watch the video below..

The Triangle of Trust Technique

It’s worth watching the second half of this video because Frank highlights some really good ideas,

  • Use the word blog instead of web site, since this has a higher click through rate when sending out email newsletters. This happens because the word blog appears to be more trustworthy, because it’s not interpreted as a sales tool. This is particularly true in non-marketing niches, so if you’re selling in any other markets host content on your blog and then use the phrase, “Go to my blog and check it out” to improve traffic. Use a video as a hook point, it is  powerful because of the perceived value of video. Again the trust factor here is high because videos are “cool” as Frank would put it and more personal. Combining the trust of the video and the blog increases the chances that a person will click to view the product.

The heart of any affiliate marketing program is that you agree to use your website or blog to drive traffic to an online advertiser’s website. Each time that you successfully deliver one of your website’s visitors over to the advertiser, and then that visitor completes the action requested by the advertiser, you’ll get paid .

Affiliate advertisers are also often referred to as “merchants”, while the web sites promoting the merchants’ offers are often referred to as “affiliates” or “publishers.”

This type of advertising is unique to the online marketplace because it relies on the precise tracking of customer clicks to determine when and where commissions are owed.
Commissions are paid from the advertiser to the website publisher affiliate based on a cost per action” (CPA) .  This means that either a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of each sale is paid to the affiliate if a customer takes an action specified by the advertiser.  These actions usually include clicking on a link, submitting information such as contact details or a zip code, or most often, completing a purchase of the advertiser’s products.

The advertisements provided to the affiliate by the advertising merchant may be text-based or graphic but they always contain a tracking code that enables the advertiser to track where the sale came from.
